Corporate Entertainer
Corporate Entertainer Degen Agnew also known as “You”
Steeped in Monty Python, Goon Show, black British & American humour. Love making light of life’s more serious things. In general: professional, quick-witted, black & white view of life, love laughing at myself &, through that, the actions of others.
“You” Corporate Entertainer Melbourne
What I do, in terms of corporate entertainment is unique in that, given enough notice and information, I will write parodies that are specific to your function; be it about a key speaker, your business, the main people in your company or current and past events (history) of any of the aforementioned.
As an example, I was invited to perform a parody of some of the “main men” at the West Brighton Club last year.
I was given a list of 12 names and some of the more unique / funny things about the people involved. With this, I wrote a medley of one verse parodies about each person, using songs ranging from The Who to Sammy Davis Jr & The Village People.
The audience, who themselves meet once a month and sing parodies about each other & current events, loved my medley and I have an open invitation to attend this exclusive club “whenever I want”.
I normally appear with an acoustic guitar, but, on occasion (as at West Brighton), will perform totally a capella.
Parody and Funny Songs for your next Corporate Event
The best part of my corporate entertainment act is that I can tailor – make parodies for your function.
All I require is at least 2 weeks’ notice and some background information on the topic / person / company to be parodied and I’ll come up with something funny, clever and entertaining for your crowd. This is what makes me unique as a corporate entertainer.
I’ve also done quite a bit of work with Mark Garbelotto, who is a Brian Tracy Master Trainer, at his “Eat That Frog” workshops. (You can go to www.markgarbelotto.com to check out the blog, and to www.eatthatfrog.com.au to find out when’s the next workshop in your area.)
Mark’s subject matter is time management. To this end, I have written two parodies for him: one called “Procrastination” (to The Beatles’ “Revolution”) And one called “Manage Your Time” (to Cindi Lauper’s “Time After Time”).
I am, as an entertainer, Melbourne based, but will travel interstate if the occasion calls for it.
